Diane Fakinlede

Diane Fakinlede is a junior Biology major, Chemistry, and Psychology double minor from Baltimore, MD by way of Ondo State, Nigeria. She displays a passion for neuroscience research and medicine, so she hopes to pursue an MD/Ph.D. She is a proud scholar of the Howard University Karsh STEM Scholars Program in the 5th Cohort which provides mentorship and undergraduate funding for students passionate about STEM. Diane displays a passion for science and research in and around her community. At Howard, she currently conducts research in Dr. Eric Walters's Biochemistry/Neuroscience Laboratory at Howard College of Medicine. When Diane is not in the lab, she spends her time dedicated to community service, campus health and safety, and the emphasis on support within the underrepresented minority community through campus organizations such as HU Nigerian Students Organization, HU Alternative Spring Break, and HU Student Association.
