MD vs MBA Program | My Path to BCG | Day in the Life of a Healthcare Consultant

I will talk about the difference between an MD and MBA program. Conventional opportunities that exist from obtaining an MBA or MD.

Then, I’ll discuss my path to a consulting position at BCG, finishing with a Q&A about daily life as a Healthcare consultant.  

My Bio (for context): 

Laura completed her undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University where she majored in Health & Exercise Science with concentrations in Biology and Chemistry. After graduation, she moved to Washington, DC, where she began her post-graduate career at Deloitte Consulting. While at Deloitte, she focused on projects within the health care sector.
 
She is a joint degree candidate who is completing her MBA studies at Duke's Fuqua School of Business and Medical Degree at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
 
At Fuqua, she is concentrating in the Health Sector Management (HSM) program, serves as an Admissions Ambassador, and is a COLE Leadership Fellow for 2019-2020. She is active in the Association of Women in Business, Health Care Club, Duke Management Consulting Club, and Tech Club.
