About this event

Duration

45 minutes

This session will highlight BlackConnect and its mission, which is to help Black entrepreneurs ascend to the next level by supporting them in attaining probono legal services, non-dilutive funding, and mentorship for their companies.

BlackConnect helped many black-owned companies, in particular, Sparc, which secured pro-Bono legal services from two top law firms, Foley & Lardner LLP and Foley Hoag; a few weeks ago, they paired the startup Plata with Kirkland & Ellis LLP for pro-Bono legal services.

Angela is the President and Co-founder of Black Connect. A business owner for almost 20 years, Angela is passionate about entrepreneurship and economic empowerment for Black Americans

.

Blackconnect.org is the only national 501(c)(3) membership and chapter-based organization dedicated solely to eliminating the racial wealth gap in America by increasing the number and success rate of Black-owned businesses.

In addition to programs and services that facilitate business development, we advocate for equity and inclusion in spaces and opportunities that help our members gain exposure and increase sales and we provide our members with a tools-based business and social network that enables entrepreneurial activities and promotes the socioeconomic growth and empowerment of the Black community.

Blackconnect.com is the most comprehensive business and social networking platform with members across the United States, Caribbean, Africa, and the United Kingdom
