Position Description:

Create targeted lists with information on the people being met with in advance to ensure meetings are maximized.

Help make travel and general schedules of the Senior Team as coordinated and efficient as possible.

Develop and maintain potential client pipelines and follow-up efforts in coordination with Senior Team

Assist Senior Team to develop and nurture relationships with sophisticated institutional clients, such as pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and insurance companies.

Develop and maintain potential client pipelines and follow-up efforts, including extensive outbound phone calling, in coordination with Senior Team.

Assist with overall marketing and communication efforts, such as creating and/or editing content for RFPs, investor presentations, investor meetings, event materials, educational decks and market commentary.

Ensure CRM information relating to prospective and current investors is highly accurate and up to date in order to improve the overall firm.

Manage internal meetings relating to fundraising activities including beginning on time, preparing agendas, having appropriate materials printed / ready on screen, and follow-up items are processed.

Monitor and maintain Senior Team calendars and contacts in CRM and Outlook; coordinate internal and external meetings of individuals at all levels

Update and manage client contact information and meeting notes in CRM

Create and maintain various reports to support all fundraising efforts

Research and provide internal team with regular updates on current and prospective clients.

Utilize various service providers (Preqin, Pitchbook and others) to source new information on industry, fundraising trends or research new prospective investors.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 of experience with preferred background in finance industry (investment firm, investment bank, accounting firm or family office).

High academic performance in core coursework (3.5 GPA minimum).

MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word power user.

CRM (MS Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.) power user.

Must be detail oriented, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and phone communication skills.

Excellent writing, research and interpersonal communication skills.

The Business Development Analyst / Associate is part of a team responsible for assisting in developing and nurturing relationships with sophisticated investors including pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and insurance companies as well as business owners which we invest in. Seeking Interns that can work on a part-time basis (~15-20 hours a week) during the school year and full-time during summer.

Location: Interns may be remote during school year and are expected to be able to be full-time during Summer in either NYC or Tampa, Florida.

Primary Activities

Assist with overall marketing and communication efforts, such as creating and/or editing content for investor presentations, investor meetings, event materials, educational decks and market commentary.

Handle PowerPoint slides and chart updates across all marketing materials.

Work directly with senior team to help manage and maintain key business development and investor relationships in support of the overall team.

Compile, synthesize and evaluate market data and other related financial data analysis.

Assist with Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) database:

Research prospective investors, maintain database of target investors and relationships and log interactions with investors.

Populate other salient data, meeting notes and generate reports used both internally and externally.

Assist with event planning and attend events, including the firm’s charity events

Ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

Previous internship or related experience in marketing or investor relations is preferred but not required.

Accounting and corporate finance experience / coursework a plus

High academic performance in core finance coursework (e.g. finance, economics, accounting,etc.)

Highly skilled with MS PowerPoint and Word for presentational purposes as well as other relevant software.

Must be detail oriented, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent writing, research and interpersonal communication skills.
