Gloria Nauden is a dynamic results-driven executive who leads with imagination, instinct, and impact. Equipped with deep tri-sector experience, multi-level partnerships and veteran insights, she has contributed to some of America’s most influential organizations. Gloria began her career at Black Entertainment Television (BET Holdings) during its historic startup years, serving as the marketing director in the Office of the Chairman, Robert L. Johnson, Strategic Business Development Group, charged with launching key growth initiatives BET.com, and BET Soundstage. Prior to that she was the Corporate Social Responsibility liaison for co-founder Sheila C. Johnson working her way up from being the executive assistant to the President, Debra L. Lee. After six years of successful growth at BET. she ran her own creative agency with high profile clients starting with BET, Radio One, Influence Entertainment, Red Bull, DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative and MHUSA. Her passion for civic and community engagement drove her to public service as the youngest executive director to lead the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, in the Fenty administration. Gloria was able to advance the mission of the $14 MM dollar grant making agency by implementing DEI strategies that channeled funding opportunities that increased access to the arts in communities that need it most. As of April 2022 Gloria serves as the Chief Marketing & Impart Officer at CDBA and PCG Loan Fund; recently leaving her position as the VP of Marketing & Communications at City First Bank, which through a recent merger with Broadway Financial (NASDAQ: BYFC) in Los Angeles made the bank the largest Black led minority depository institution in the nation with over $1B in assets. City First is DC's first Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) bank, and first Certified B Corp bank communities in the DC and LA regions. Gloria is a proud mother of two daughters. She is engaged in her community as a member of Leadership Greater Washington, a founding chapter member of 100 Black Women of DC; founding board member of DC Community Development Consortium; and Women of Color in Community Development. She also volunteers her time as a grant reviewer with the Catalogue for Philanthropy, as well as The Greater Washington Community Foundation. She serves on the boards of Viva Dance School, H Street Community Development Corporation, Capitalbop.com.
