Santander US Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is looking for 2026 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program candidates to support the growth ambitions of the Energy and Energy Transition (E&ET) Group.

Whether it is raising capital or advising on M&A, investment bankers in the E&ET group work across products and geographies to bring comprehensive solutions to their clients in the rapidly evolving energy sector. Coverage areas within E&ET include renewables, conventional power, utilities, batteries, auto/mobility, electric vehicle infrastructure, low-carbon molecules, CCUS and natural gas pipelines/storage.

This 2026 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program is for undergraduate students in a four-year program who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027.

Based in New York (NY), you will become part of an international business working with teams across different geographies.

The base hourly pay range for this position is $52.88/hr. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location. The internship program does not offer any relocation assistance.

Santander Investment Banking (IB) teams provide global advice to corporate clients supporting them in the execution of their strategic goals.

This program will provide the skills and experience to become a thoughtful, strategic advisor. You’ll learn the nature of client service and how we build long-term relationships by putting their needs first, while developing the technical acumen to launch a career in banking.

What We Are Looking For

  • An undergraduate student in a four-year program with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.

  • Cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above.

  • Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage in their leadership style.

  • Crisp communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, interacting professionally, transparently, and effectively with people at all levels.

  • Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required, foreign language skills are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Strong critical thinking with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.

  • Ability to multi-task as required.

  • Ability to work independently on special projects.

  • Ability to effectively contribute in a team environment.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
