The Bessemer Securities Controllers Group is responsible for operational functions and company financial reporting, planning, treasury, strategic studies and other special projects.
The Bessemer Trust Internship Program
Our summer internship program offers real world experience working side-by-side with experts from departments and offices across our firm. Working within your designated team, you will manage individual and group projects, interact with senior leaders, and attend a variety of career development sessions. You will also network with fellow interns in-person and virtually, as well as during our intern days held in our New York headquarters.
This 10-week program is designed to mimic the experience of a full-time employee, providing an opportunity to build subject matter expertise and enhance your career at Bessemer and beyond.

Job Responsibilities
Preparation of Daily Cash Report and Fair Market Values Report to Management
Assist primarily with various operational aspects of review, processing and accounting with regards to the Company’s venture capital investments.
Assist with various monthly reconciliations and reporting as the Company maintains parallel records with venture capital general partner performed in our investment software, Aloha.
Assist with journal entry processing into Oracle G/L module (the platform the Company uses for its books and records).
Exposure to various modules of Oracle (GL, AP, Fixed Assets) and processing requirements for these Oracle applications.
Exposure to Benefit Plan financial statements.
Assist with processing of expenses through Oracle AP module as well as various cash transfers and investment fundings and distributions through our Cash Management System (CMS).
Assist in special projects.
Additional opportunities provided with skill development.
Qualifications
Rising Junior or Senior pursuing bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
Proven ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment.
Has excellent attention to detail and executes responsibilities with a sense of urgency and follow-through.
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft products suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.00 - $26.00. Hourly rates will vary and will be based on various factors.
