Growth Equity Investment Intern

This position includes a handsome bi-weekly compensation at a competitive hourly rate.

Expected Start Date: Mid-Late June
Opportunity to intern remotely in the Fall and Spring semesters.
Open to undergraduate and Graduate students (MBA, MSc, and etc)
The ideal candidate would have a mix of multi-disciplinary tech, business, and management consulting or investment banking experience. The intern will work directly with the firm’s CIO and senior investment professionals across the investment lifecycle spanning from sourcing, due diligence, and final deal execution with prospective portfolio company management.
As we are high-tech-focused with a disciplined investment mandate, an ability to quickly take in and synthesize novel information is critical for success in the role.
Passion for technology, growth-investing, self-starter attitude, and strong financial modeling skills to underwrite large $20-$50m investment check-sizes are critical for the role and our merit-based flat management structure with structured frequent, real-time feedback will help hone both quantitative and soft skills needed to groom into a seasoned long-term investor. 
Specific Tasks Support investment professionals in the following areas:
·       Sourcing / Idea-Generation
·       Investment Due-Diligence
·       Fundraising & Investor Relations Exposure
Typical responsibilities will include: 
·       Speak with CEOs of target companies and investment professionals from peer VC & PE funds
·       Collaborate with the investment team on idea generation, outreach to VC/Growth-Equity Funds and management (C-Suite) of target companies. 
·       Conduct primary research, create  financial models for prospective investments and assist with investment write-ups and presentations 
·       Gather and maintain industry data on market trends and help publish newsletters for brand building
·       Assist CIO with fundraising decks and coordinate onboarding other family offices and a potential LPs
Professional Qualifications 
·       Interest in pursuing Buy-side VC or Tech Growth-Equity experience (preferred)
·       Management Consulting (ideal), Investment Banking, or tech operating internship experience at a big-tech or prominent startup.
·       Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel Financial Modeling (basic DCF valuation) and bonus if know basics of SaaS financial modeling for valuation and term-sheet basics
·       Good written and verbal communication skills for effective storytelling in presentations, financial models, and investment memos.
·       Familiarity with PitchBook, CBInsights, and other private-market data analysis tools
