What does it mean to wrangle big data?  How do you piece together seemingly disparate bits of information to paint a complete picture?

Our team of engineers and analysts make an eclectic group of various backgrounds for you to experience the data life cycle from start to finish.  Learn how to consolidate data from different sources into one central location.  See what happens when data is user-ready, learning how to poke and prod the database for business and operational uses, and finally how to package the insights you find into a visualization with a popular industry standard, Tableau.

Get real, valuable, hands-on experience and start your career with an abundance of possible paths - big data, ETL, database maintenance, database mining, data analysis, visualization and dashboards.  The typical starting rate for this position is $16.00 to $17.50 per hour.

What are you going to work on?
  • This intern will help with our big data projects, specifically tuning and building our data pipelines
  • Dive into the data to find unique insights and correlations between data sets
  • Jump into the world of big data, using your programming skills to help Boingo build the future of analytics
Do you have what it takes?
  • You should have1 year experience with python, at least have a basic understanding of the language
  • Understanding of SQL and database architecture
  • An interest in data analysis and big data tools
  • Statistical math skills a plus
