Job Description: Arena CTF Builder
Position Overview:
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Arena CTF (Capture The Flag) Builder to design and develop engaging, challenging, and real-world CTF scenarios for our cybersecurity training and events. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity, a passion for gamification, and the ability to create immersive environments that simulate real-world attack and defense scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement CTF challenges covering a wide range of cybersecurity topics such as web exploitation, reverse engineering, cryptography, and network security.
Build and maintain a scalable, secure, and user-friendly CTF platform for participants.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the technical accuracy and relevance of challenges.
Test and refine challenges to ensure a balanced difficulty level and an engaging participant experience.
Create detailed challenge descriptions, hints, and solution write-ups for players and administrators.
Monitor and respond to participant feedback to continuously improve the CTF experience.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques to create up-to-date challenges.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in cybersecurity principles, tools, and techniques.
Experience with CTF platforms such as CTFd, RootTheBox, HackTheBox, TryHackMe or custom-built environments.
Strong programming skills in languages like Python, C, or JavaScript.
Familiarity with virtualization and containerization tools (e.g., AWS lambda, Kubernetes, Docker, Vagrant).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and exploit development.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
