Position Summary

The IT Helpdesk Support Intern position is an IT support role that assists first-level end-user day-to-day support needs, both on-site and remote, including receiving in-bound calls and responding to service call inquiries; trouble-shooting and documenting steps taken to resolve challenges with hardware, software and application issues within a ticketing system, and provides timely communications regarding issue status and resolution.

This position will support information technology (IT) policies, and Huber’s hardware and software compliance and lifecycle.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to a wide variety of end users within the Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) organization.

  • Perform general maintenance and remedial repairs on a range of IT equipment including, but not limited to computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, conference room A/V equipment, and telephony/networking equipment.

  • Respond promptly and effectively to calls regarding any query or issues pertaining to software or hardware that the IT department is responsible for.

  • Use ticketing system to open and document incidents and service requests following the organization’s standard operating procedures for incident and service management.

  • Follow and comply with all standard operating procedures defined for device setup and configuration (computers, printers, mobile devices, for example but not limited to).

  • Provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution for technical issues surrounding hardware, Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365 Applications, network connectivity, and Virtual Desktop technologies.

  • Complete software/hardware installs, upgrades, project assignments, migrations, and rollouts as requested.

  • Provide a consistent user experience by adhering to internal IT process documents (SOPs) and Knowledge Articles where applicable.

Physical Requirements

  • This is an onsite role and will require support to be provided locally and via phone/collaboration tools.

  • Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50lbs/23kg, as well as the ability to crawl under desks or climb ladders as needed for IT tasks (installation, maintenance, etc.). There may be additional training required based on local laws.

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.

U.S. Market-Based Salary Range

[$41,600.00 - $41,600.00]

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
