Job Summary

The FP&A Analyst plays a key role in supporting company-wide financial planning and analysis efforts. This role is responsible for leading the treasury function, developing and maintaining financial models that reflect the company’s consolidated performance, preparing Tableau reports and dashboards, and overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process. This role requires strong communication skills, advanced analytical capabilities, and a high level of proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and maintenance of company-wide financial models used for cash flow forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and incentive programs, including model updates, maintenance, and communication of results.

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for leadership review using Excel and Tableau, ensuring alignment with the general ledger and operational performance.

  • Facilitates weekly Treasury function meetings and partners with banks to manage liquidity and debt instruments, including debt reporting, covenant tracking, and communication of liquidity requirements.

  • Maintains reporting systems such as Prophix, including security administration, and ensures named sets and reports are accurate, current, and aligned with forecasting needs.

  • Performs variance analysis and delivers concise commentary on actuals vs. budget/forecast performance.

  • Assists in the consolidation of financial results across departments and business units and reconciles planned targets to actual cash forecasts.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, validate data, and ensure consistency in reporting.

  • Maintains and improves recurring reports and templates to enhance accuracy, automation, and efficiency, including Tableau dashboards for volume and price analysis.

  • Supports the annual budgeting cycle and periodic forecast updates, ensuring proper integration with strategic and capital planning efforts.

  • Provides ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support business initiatives and strategic decisions, including scenario analysis and risk mitigation planning.

  • Helps manage and improve processes related to budgeting software and reporting systems.

  • Ensures integrity of financial data used in reporting and analysis, through regular reconciliation and validation processes.

Job Specifications
Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and modeling techniques.

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and key financial concepts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and actionable way

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Work Experience

  • Required: Experience creating dashboards and visual reports in Tableau (or similar BI tools).

  • Required: Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Insights).

  • Required: Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation principles

  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

  • High stress tolerance with a highly developed sense of urgency.
