Position Summary The Technology Development Intern will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications and systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity for practical experience in software development methodologies, coding, testing, and debugging.

What will your job entail? Location: Carmel, IN or Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with software developers and project managers to design, develop, and implement software solutions.

  • Assist in writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code using Python in a Databricks environment.

  • Participate in testing and quality assurance processes to ensure software performance and reliability.

  • Document software design and development processes.

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed.

  • Attend team meetings and contribute to software development discussions.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of programming languages and development tools.

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

  • Experience and familiarity with a modern general purpose programming language like C#, Java, Python, etc.

  • Interest in learning about software architecture and design principles.

Intern Hourly Pay Rate

$21 per hour

The target hourly rate range for this position is - per hour.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands.
