Asset Management at Ventas oversees performance and strategy across a diverse real estate portfolio spanning senior living, medical office and research assets. The team blends rigorous analytics, disciplined execution and deep operator and tenant engagement to drive NOI, enhance asset value and support long-term portfolio health. Asset Management partners closely with Investments, FP&A, Development, Legal, Finance and other functions to ensure alignment on priorities and to execute initiatives that strengthen both individual assets and the broader platform.

About The Role The Financial Analyst supports portfolio performance through financial analysis, reporting and foundational operational insight. This role plays a key part in evaluating asset level financial performance, monitoring KPIs and assisting with the analytical work that underpins asset reviews. The Analyst helps ensure that asset managers have accurate and timely data to drive decisions and performance discussions.

The role also assists with budgeting, reforecasting, competitive analysis, capital planning and market research. The Analyst prepares materials for portfolio reviews and leadership updates, maintains key systems and supports cross-functional initiatives that reinforce asset performance. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with interest in real estate asset management.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Build and maintain models, reports and analytics supporting asset performance

  • Review financial statements, operating data and KPIs submitted by operators or tenants

  • Conduct competitive and market analyses to support strategy and decision-making

  • Assist with budget cycles, reforecasts, capital plans and recurring performance evaluations

  • Prepare reporting and presentation materials for asset managers and leadership

  • Maintain accurate asset-level data and support system updates

  • Support transitions, strategic evaluations and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Accounting or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, real estate or related analytical discipline

  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills

  • Strong communication, organization and time-management capabilities

  • Must be located in Chicago, IL or New York, NY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment

  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

The estimated base salary range for this position is $75,000 -$100,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base salary Ventas reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base pay will be determined based on work location, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and business needs. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and other wellness benefits under applicable plan terms.
