Details

  • The 2026 program will run Tuesday, May 19th – Friday, August 7th.

  • Full-time, paid summer internship.

  • This internship will be located at 231 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604.

  • Participate in intern program activities, events, community service projects, and professional development opportunities with your cohort.

Great Lakes Advisors Intern Job Responsibilities

  • Rotational internship position in which the intern will spend 1-3 weeks with various functional areas within Great Lakes Advisors, for example: Equity Research, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset Strategy, Private Wealth, Sales & Marketing, Operations, etc.

  • Responsibilities will vary by department and will typically include one short-term project within the functional area as well as an introduction to the group’s key activities.

  • Weekly one-on-one networking/mentoring lunches with GLA team members.

  • Longer-term project in which the intern will research one stock and make a recommendation for potential inclusion in the Firm’s strategies.

Compensation

  • The hourly rate for this role is $19/hour.

Qualifications

Must be a participant in one of our corporate partnership programs. Program name must be listed on resume and application.

  • Currently enrolled in a U.S. college or university and entering the junior or senior year.

  • Rising Juniors/Seniors currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management/Administration, Accounting, Marketing.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making skills as demonstrated by coursework or prior experience.

  • Interest in pursuing a career in the Chicago finance/wealth industry post-graduation.

  • Leadership, extra-curricular, or volunteering experience with a passion for results.

  • You must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S. now and in the future to participate in Wintrust’s Wealth Management Internship Program. Due to the high volume of applicants, we do not offer immigration sponsorship (including OPT and CPT) for this program.
