Job Description Allstate’s Multi-Asset group manages an active asset allocation process across Allstate’s $80 billion portfolio. The process combines macroeconomic insight, disciplined cross asset research, and an active capital allocation process to drive strategic and tactical investment decisions across public and private markets. The team collaborates with internal public and private investment PMs as well as leverages external investment opportunities. The capital allocation process has been a key ingredient to Allstate’s investment success and active portfolio management has been recognized externally relative to our competitors.
The Intermediate Analyst role in the Multi-Asset group involves working closely with the team to help shape the team’s macro views, identify cross-asset opportunities, and translate insights into actionable portfolio recommendations through fundamental and quantitative analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with enhancing Investments’ strategic (SAA) and tactical asset allocation (TAA) process, including quantitative and qualitative frameworks, cross asset market monitors and economic regime signals. Efforts will span equities, fixed income, alternatives, derivative overlay and regional allocations across a variety of asset classes
Identify and evaluate internal and external active risk opportunities to further enhance risk adjusted returns of the portfolio versus the Enterprise strategic asset allocation
Conduct independent cross asset research to identify new relative value or allocation approaches
Support development of tactical asset allocation (TAA) trade thesis trackers to drive and improve decision making processes
Create clear, compelling visualizations of investment themes, asset‑class dynamics, and portfolio insights for our Capital Allocation Forum meetings.
Analyze portfolio exposures and sensitivities (e.g. Duration, Spread duration, Equity beta, Risk factor decomposition, etc) to ensure alignment with the current investment thesis.
Support the investment culture of the team. Contribute best practices and lessons learned to the broader team’s portfolio construction efforts
Role reports to Head of Multi-Asset Group
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree (prefeed)
2+ year experience within finance industry; Fundamental and quantitative experience in Fixed Income, Equity or Multi-asset investing preferred
Experience in portfolio decision making preferred, including supporting a portfolio manager in active risk-taking decisions, or independently managing investment risk
CFA designation or candidacy a plus
Supervisory Responsibilities

Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus AIP as applicable for the role.
