About The Role CBRE Loan Services is seeking a Loan Covenant Analyst to support the ongoing administration and compliance of a commercial real estate loan portfolio. This role is responsible for reviewing loan documentation, setting up and monitoring loan covenants, and serving as a key point of contact for borrowers, lenders, and internal portfolio management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Review loan documents to identify financial and non-financial covenants and accurately set them up within the internal loan servicing system.

  • Monitor exception and compliance reports. Periodically follow up with borrowers regarding outstanding or upcoming requirements.

  • Perform basic customer service functions of answering borrower's questions via email and telephone about their commercial mortgages, what includes researching information to obtain proper answers.

  • Follow up with borrowers on the status of loan covenants and report results to Senior Management, Portfolio Managers and Lenders.

  • Contact borrowers to collect required financial statements and other reports and determine if loan obligations have been satisfied.

  • Update internal loan servicing system and external Lender client systems with status of various lender consent items. Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and service-level expectations.

  • Assist Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts in the day-to-day functions of Portfolio Management as needed.

  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required with 0 - 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.

  • Strong critical reading, analytical skills and thinking abilities.

  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret legal documents, correspondence and memorandums, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to ensure accurate understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to participate in discussions regarding interpretation of legalese in documents and ask thoughtful questions.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.

  • Ability to solve problems in standard situations.

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and meet timelines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
