Job Summary If you’re a student or early-career technology professional who sees beyond the “ticket,” we’re looking for you. This internship is designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on IT experience while providing excellent customer support in a fast-paced environment.
As an IT Service Desk Intern, you will work alongside experienced IT professionals to support employees across the organization while developing technical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The IT Service Desk Intern serves as the first point of contact for internal employees seeking technical assistance. Under the guidance of senior IT team members, the intern will assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, account access, and connectivity issues while learning IT service management best practices.The ideal candidate is customer-focused, collaborative, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in Information Technology.
This position is expected to start in-person around June 2026 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e. through August 2025). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
Job Location
This is an onsite position located in Atlanta, GA.
Job Responsibilities
Respond to employee support requests through ServiceNow, phone, email, and in-person support.
Assist with troubleshooting common technical issues including password resets, account access, VPN connectivity, Office 365 support, and hardware/software issues.
Provide first-level support for Windows devices, Office 365 applications, browsers, and remote support tools.
Support setup and troubleshooting of mobile devices including iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
Assist with imaging, setup, inventory tracking, and shipping of laptops and other hardware.
Help manage software installations and user access requests through systems such as Okta and Active Directory.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT team members while maintaining clear communication with customers.
Maintain accurate ticket documentation and assist with knowledge base updates.
Collaborate with IT team members on daily operations and special projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Previous customer service or technical support experience is a plus but not required.
Basic familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and mobile devices preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Professional office environment with occasional visits to industrial sites requiring PPE.
Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
Position requires onsite presence a minimum of 3 days per week.
Occasional travel or after-hours support may be required based on business needs.
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $25/hr.
